How does the technology checker work?
It loads the public home page once, like a browser, and reads public signs: response headers, cookie names, generator tags and the files the page loads. It never logs in, never tries admin pages and never tests for weaknesses.
Can you see the exact version of every platform?
Only when the site shows it, for example a WordPress generator tag, a jQuery file name or an X-Powered-By header. Laravel and Next.js normally hide their version, which is good practice; for those the report explains how to check it yourself.
Which technologies can it find?
WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor, Drupal, Joomla, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Magento, Laravel, Livewire, Django, Ruby on Rails, ASP.NET, Next.js, Nuxt, Gatsby, SvelteKit, React, Vue, Angular and AngularJS, jQuery, PHP, web servers, CDNs and common marketing tools.
My site is outdated. What should I do?
Back up first, update on a staging copy, test the important pages and forms, then update the live site. If you prefer, our engineers do it for a fixed price.
What happens with my email and website?
We email you a code to confirm your address, then your report. Your email, website and result go to our team and CRM so an engineer can help, and we may occasionally email you about your website; you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not share your details with anyone else.
