Frequently asked questions

Can you see my Laravel version from outside?

No. Laravel does not announce its version, which is good. The checker detects Laravel from public signs such as the laravel_session cookie, and also checks PHP, the web server, HTTPS and security headers.

How do I check my Laravel version?

Run php artisan --version in your project folder, or composer show laravel/framework. You can also look up laravel/framework in composer.lock.

How long does a Laravel version get security fixes?

Laravel gives each major release bug fixes for 18 months and security fixes for 2 years. Check the current dates on the official Laravel release notes page, and plan upgrades before support ends.

Should I upgrade Laravel or move to another stack?

Most Laravel apps should simply be upgraded step by step. A move to Next.js and FastAPI makes sense only when the code is hard to maintain or you need a modern front end and AI features.

What happens with my email and website?

We email you a code to confirm your address, then your report. Your email, website and result go to our team and CRM so an engineer can help, and we may occasionally email you about your website; you can unsubscribe at any time. We do not share your details with anyone else.
